Columbus Township is a zoned community requiring permits for development.  Most development other than individual single-family homes requires site plan approval. Construction of buildings and structures also requires a building permit, which is obtained following site plan approval. Site plan review for all but minor administrative changes takes place before the Columbus Township Planning Commission, which meets monthly on the first Tuesday.  Consult with the Zoning Ordinance or call the the Township Supervisor for questions.
