Ways to Pay Taxes:
  • Mail to: Columbus Township Treasurer, 1732 Bauman Rd, Columbus, MI 48063
  • Drop off at Township Hall-Office Hours,  Monday – Thursday (9 am – 2 pm).
  • After Hours Drop-Off Box Available at Township Hall, located by lower level grey doors.
  • Pay at Northstar Bank (Any Branch)-Cash Accepted at Bank: Must provide tax bill.
  • Cash only accepted at the Township if in exact amount owing.
  • Pay by phone (Currently available only for tax payments): 586-701-6625.
  • Credit Cards (Online at Pay/View taxes link above): Flat fee of $0.50, PLUS 2.8% of tax bill.
  • E-CHECK/ACH
    • $3.00 fee for $1.00-$1,000.00 payment
    • $6.00 fee for $1,000.01-$5,000.00 payment
    • $12.00 fee for $5,000.01+

(Receipt for mailed payment is available upon request.)
Deferments available and due by September 14th .

For Delinquent Taxes, paid after February 28th: All taxes (except personal property) must be paid at St.Clair County. They can be reached at (810) 989-6915.


Common Answers for Real Estate and Title Companies
  • NO CITY SERVICES: Only private well and septic are available in Columbus Township.
  • Only Fire Department Runs invoiced outside of taxes.
  • Only Special Assessments are Refuse (township wide trash pick up) and occasional Drain Assessments. Both will be included in winter tax bill.
